What is Self-Assessment?
We have seen the previous steps of Shukatsu. If you still haven’t, check out our jimomin.work page for the earlier steps. Now it’s time to enter the next stage, the main process “The Self- Assessment ''. Self – Analysis is very important when looking for a job, because it’s a way to show the recruiters who you are. What are your core values of your life? What aims do you have for the future?
It is advisable to start the analysis from the early stages, instead of trying to figure out points at the moment of job-hunting. You all have the common questions: How do you do it? What things need to be considered? And so on.
Don’t worry! We will give you a detailed description of what to include, and what not to.
How to do it?
The illustration shows how to find out about yourself based on your past, present, and future.
Try to know about yourself from your family, school friends, etc. Try to mention all of your experiences in a gist even from your part-time if it’s not related to academics and also approach your university career center for help.
Analysis Questions for Self-Assessment
We will show you four tables of analysis questions for the self-assessment. Try to clearly define your answers to the questions. Take your time.
The choice of university is very crucial during the time of the interview. Don’t worry if it isn’t a top school, the result is what you have learned during your days inside and outside the classroom.
When you face the recruiters during your interview session, be precise in your points from your notes. Don’t try to give an elaborate explanation. Be bold!
Don’t be reluctant to write about your weakness. As you give priority to your strength, give the same to your weaknesses, but mention what actions you took to turn the negative into positive.
Students need to show how passionate they are in every aspect from choosing a university, or career field to a company. And must be clear in explaining the goals they have planned for the future. Make sure to write about skills you developed in your college, how would you gain back your motivation to keep going every day? Give yourself some time to think and conclude from the notes you have listed for your interview or application process.
